I’m going to make this very short. These past few weeks, one-by-one my online accounts (may) have been compromised.

1st incident ; Yahoo! account: Last three or four weeks, I tried to login through Yahoo! messenger and I was surprised when I got errors saying my account does not exist. I E-mailed Yahoo! Online help 4 Times but they kept sending me non-relevant/non-sense Pre-made template mails. Read it here: Click Here.

I got really frustrated so I called them in their Hotline ( So thats a long distance call from me ). I was put on hold for a very long time. My 200 PLDT IDD Card got drained because of the very long wait.

The sad thing is I kept my Yahoo! Messenger as my main Instant Messaging Platform and Yahoo! Mail as my secondary mail platform. I had about a thousand contacts for my Yahoo! Account, that alone would describe my agony right now. All I can do is wait for a miracle.

2nd Incident; Multiply Account. Earlier, my wife asked me if I opened my Multiply account. I said No, and I haven’t opened it for a long time now (Maybe a year or so). I got real scared when she told me that someone used my account to view hers about 10 hours ago.

I don’t know what I’ve done wrong to get my accounts compromised. I dont download torrents, I keep my computer clean with a complete security system, I can identify what files are safe to download and I only login to my laptop.

If ever you get emails or IM’s from jpibaez@yahoo.com. Please ignore them. I’ll update this post if ever I get hold of my account again. For the moment. Ignore it. Thank You.
